A seasoned performer and prolific singer-songwriter, Pete Hunt brings decades of musical experience to the Shore Radio airwaves.
His songwriting talent gained early recognition when his original work, “Katerine,” was covered by the legendary Joe Brown.
The 60s marked the start of a rich career, which included a twenty-year run as a professional and semi-professional artist with the popular harmony duo Rockinghorse, performing across pubs and clubs in Essex and London. His versatility extended to rhythm guitar and vocals for various bands, notably the twelve-piece soul outfit, The Indies. With The Indies, he performed on the international corporate circuit, including high-profile venues such as The House of Blues in LA, Margaritaville in New Orleans, and four Cannes Film Festivals during the 1990s.
Later, he spent four years as a stand-up singer with the blues outfit Out-of-the-Blue and, in 2008, was honored with a retrospective concert of his work in Chigwell. Prior to moving to the coast, he founded and managed the successful “Stand & Deliver!” Acoustic Club in Loughton, Essex.
A testament to his enduring creativity, he has recorded 13 albums of original material. Now based in Frinton since 2012, he continues to gig locally as part of the acoustic duo The Boogaloo Dudes (with Steve Moffat) and performs as a tenor with The Tendring Male Voice Choir.
