Background

A seasoned performer with a remarkable career spanning over five decades, our presenter began as a child actor in the TV series Gideon’s Way before going on to build an impressive legacy across theatre, television, film and advertising. He has starred in more than 30 major UK and international tours, created leading roles including Anthony Shaffer’s Murderer, and appeared in prestigious venues from the West End to Vienna.
His TV credits include leading roles in the comedy series How’s Your Father and the hugely successful BBC sitcom Bread, alongside appearances in classics such as ’Allo ’Allo. He also wrote and starred in a Channel 5 drama about Howard Carter and the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, while continuing to write and direct for regional theatre.
On stage, he’s known for standout roles including Henry Higgins in Pygmalion, Frank in Educating Rita, and over 550 performances in Noises Off. His most recent major theatre tour was Priscilla Queen of the Desert alongside Jason Donovan.
An accomplished speaker, host and charity auctioneer, he even helped bring the first post-lockdown theatre production back to UK audiences in 2021. With a wealth of showbiz stories and a voice full of character, he’s now bringing his talent and personality to the airwaves at Shore Radio.
