Mark Coe’s journey behind the decks began in the mid-1980s, just as dance music was evolving into a cultural revolution. Drawn deep into the heart of the rave scene, he fully embraced the rise of acid house — spending his nights either dropping beats or raving in a random field during the iconic explosion of the early ‘90s “Second Summer of Love.”
As the scene moved from fields to world-class dancefloors, Mark followed — becoming a regular in some of London’s most legendary venues including Turnmills, Bagleys, Fabric, Café de Paris, Wag Club and Ministry of Sound. His passion for house music laid the foundation for a lifelong career in the industry.
Radio became Mark’s next big chapter, launching in 1994 with Juice 94FM. This opened doors to DJ internationally, bringing the energy of the UK club scene to hotspots across Ibiza and the Canary Islands.
Now, with over 40 years in music, Mark may have hung up his raving shoes — but the love for house and for radio is stronger than ever. You can catch him waking up the coast every weekend breakfast, and diving deep into the finest dance music on his long-running specialist show, The Selection — celebrating more than 20 years on air.
